101 North Eatery & Bar recently celebrated their one year anniversary as they continue to bring a downtown Los Angeles ambiance to Westlake Village. 101 North located just off of the 101 freeway offers a twist to fine dining with New American cuisine. Open evenings and weekends, including Sunday brunch, happy hour and Tipsy Tuesdays, this restaurant have an entreé for everyone. From gluten-free to vegan options, 101 North combines flavors that excite your taste buds for more. The menu includes a variety of options.
Starters include Falafel Sliders with avocado pureé, tahini, pickled cucumber and shallots, and Crispy Split Corn dressed with bacon aioli, ground chili and pecorino. Entreés include dishes such as a Mediterranean Sea Bass complemented by roasted Babé Farms cauliflower, pine nuts, and a green romesco sauce and Cumin Rubbed Lamb Rack with smoked eggplant, fregola pasta, and cucumber mint tzatziki sauce. Other additions to the menu include steak and pasta entrees, wood-fired pizzas and artisan salads. 101 North is located in Westlake Village, CA. As the seasons change so does 101 North’s menu. Chef Anthony uses ingredients that are in season ensuring that the highest quality flavors are used to create excellent food. About Chef Anthony:
101 North Eatery & Bar’s Head Chef Anthony Alaimo has won many notable awards throughout his career including a Michelin Star and several Forbes 5 Stars. Chef Anthony began his culinary career at a young age working at distinguished Italian restaurants in New York City, which ultimately created opportunities for him to work side by side with celebrated Chef Siro Maccioni at the renowned restaurant, Le Cirque, in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Bellagio Hotel and Casino. Inspired from eight years of tutelage under famed chefs, Chef Anthony perfected his culinary skills and was offered an opportunity to relocate to Macau, China where he created an Italian Restaurant in Macau, China with Steve Wynn of Wynn Resorts Organization. After nine years in China, Chef Anthony returned to the United States to share his delicious creations with Los Angeles County.
As the leader of our team, Chef Anthony has filled the kitchen with local talents that parallel his deep and unwavering passion for food. A native to New York, Chef Anthony has poured years of dedication into exploring ways to enhance his culinary abilities, most notably cooking in numerous award-winning restaurants all over the world, including Europe, Asia and the United States. Anthony Alaimo found his calling to cuisine at a young age when he began working after school in Italian restaurants throughout his native New York City. In pursuit of a culinary career, he journeyed up the Atlantic coast, which not only enhanced his knowledge but also fueled his passion by allowing him to work with local ingredients in the bustling seafood industry of New England. It was there that his culinary skills emerged as he was mentored in the art of blending unique seasonal ingredients and traditional Italian flavors.
